(this program is open to SIG members and affiliates - join here)

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new NTTR SIG Mentorship Program. From approximately May through October 2021, we will be piloting a mentorship program that aims to connect members at various stages in their careers with members with similar interests who are at more advanced stages of their careers.

This program will offer mentees the opportunity to network and receive guidance according to their current career development needs. This may include support with applications for graduate school, grants/fellowships, internship, postdoc and beyond, as well as collaborative idea generation, analysis support, and writing mentorship.

Mentees are encouraged to also become mentors. This is a great opportunity to build mentorship experience and to support a fellow NTTR SIG member.

Additional details about the mentorship program pilot:

  • Any NTTR SIG member or affiliate is welcome to participate!

  • If interested, complete the sign-up form by April 20th 2021 (in this form you can request a mentor, indicate your interest in providing mentorship, or both).

  • In late April 2021 you will receive an email that states your mentor/mentee match.

  • Once you know who you matched with, we encourage you to connect with them via email to set up an initial meeting. We will try to facilitate the best match possible based on interests, needs, availability, but encourage you to speak with them about expectations at your initial meeting.

  • In August 2021 we will send a brief mid-program survey to gather initial feedback on how the program is working for you.

  • In November 2021 we will send another brief survey to gather additional feedback on the program.

  • We hope that this will be a rewarding experience for of you.
